Gary Titley was elected as the MEP
for the former Greater Manchester West Euro Constituency
in 1989, he has had a distinguished career working
in Europe for the benefit of the people in the North
West and all of the UK.
Gary has decided not to stand for election in 2009.

candidates will contest the European elections in
2009:
Arlene McCarthy MEP, Brian Simpson
MEP, Theresa Griffin, Stephen Carter, Jane Clarke,
Riaz Ahmad, Claire Johnston & Brian Boag.
Gary Titley MEP, Labour's Leader
in Europe, said: "I am delighted with the selection
of candidates. Labour has managed to draw together
very strong teams for the European elections in
2009. I am especially pleased that half of our candidates
are women."
